Released on Recognizance (ROR)

Defendants released on recognizance need only sign a written promise to appear in court as required, instead of needing to post bail.

Many of you have heard of the term ROR or released on one’s own recognizance.

If you’ve been arrested or someone you care about has been arrested, we can often persuade the judge at the first hearing in front of that judge within the next day to release someone on their own recognizance without posting any bond.

We persuade them based on connection to the community, a lack of prior record, the fact that they have a job.

Many conditions can allow us to talk the Judge into getting you out on ROR, no bond.  That’s something that we can do for our clients.

I’m Jeff Quisenberry with the Fernandez Law Group.  We can help.
